British Superbike rider, Christian Iddon, took third place at the 24h Motos, held at the famous Le Mans circuit. The Stockport racer making his debut at the French track, aboard the Wepol Racing by penz13.com team’s BMW S1000RR.
Christian Iddon is out to spoil the party as the British Superbike Championship heads for it’s solitary overseas round, at Assen, in the Netherlands this coming weekend [29 Sept – 1 Oct].
Iddon has shown his and the team’s potential over the last two meetings, particularly in poorer conditions. The Stockport rider running more than a second a lap faster than every other rider in the final race of the weekend at Silverstone, and setting fastest lap in free practice one at Oulton Park by a margin of almost three seconds.
TYCO BMW rider Christian Iddon narrowly missed out on the British Superbike Championship’s title ‘Showdown’ section of the series, as heavy rain made riding treacherous at Silverstone, in Northamptonshire. The Showdown takes place over the final three rounds of the BSB season, and is completed by the top six riders at the conclusion of the Showdown decider.
